The activity consists of supporting the Safety Officer in the training of on-board personnel and supervising fire emergency simulations on board ship by providing useful tips for improving intervention capabilities.
The course provides training and instruction to fire-fighting emergency team members on the principles of using self-contained breathing apparatus in an environment with the presence of toxic gases or unbreathable air.
The course provides the on-board firefighting team members with notions of flashover and useful techniques to fight and avoid it.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport by a decree dated 17.12.2015, published in Gazette no. 6 of 09.01.2016, regulated the establishment of the ‘maritime trainer training course’. The course provides the necessary knowledge and training to acquire ‘training’ skills for instructors employed in the planning, development and delivery of training courses for maritime personnel.
